I am interested in the ability of color to convey a sense of time through tonal transitions, rhythm, and the interaction of color masses. Form emerges as a result of these relationships rather than from a predetermined structure.
 
Material structure is an integral part of my work. Layers, texture, and traces of change preserve the history of the painting’s creation and reinforce its physical presence.
 
Working within contemporary abstraction, my paintings become vehicles for experiencing time and the memory of a moment.
